"It’s a different one compared to my previous Christmas’ in England. It’s a more quiet one so we’ve planned training around it. We’ve done some 11 vs 11 and ensured the players have the right load and intensity. We will be off on the 25th so there’ll be some happy families"

? Keane and Mikkel
"I had big expectations going into this season but unfortunately both got hit by injury. It was nice to see Keane’s first goal and you saw why we like Mikkel with the way he created chances. Hopefully we’ll see more good performances from them in 2024"
? Ivan Toney
"Ivan Toney is looking good and it’s very good to have him getting closer. We’re all looking forward to having him in the team again and he’s looking forward to it. He is a Brentford player right now and I expect him to be a Brentford player in the spring"
? Wolves
"Wolves are more energetic now. They are well organised and you can see they are trying to build something that looks promising for the future. We need to come out with big intensity, press very aggressively, and have a more complete performance"
?
"I would love to give [three points] to the fans. They are always behind us. They are fantastic and we know we are very, very good at home, especially under the floodlights. We’d love to give them a late Christmas present"
? Mads 100 games
"It’s very impressive that we have a B Team player hitting 100 first team games and 50 games in the Premier League. It’s been a fantastic journey for Mads here at Brentford. We are happy with him in many, many ways"
? Coping with injuries
"We are among the top three clubs for injuries. I am happy with my squad but, when you look from the outside, we are one of the thinnest squads. The way that players have stepped up has been fantastic"
? January plans
"We are always prepared but we normally don’t do that much in January as a club. It is a more difficult market that month. Something can happen but it’s not an urgent one. The only position where you could say we are struggling a bit is full-back"
